CFC Short Films
Tonight's five short films are home brewed in Canada and display a high cadre of filmmakers. They were workshopped and created at the Canadian Film Centre, which describes itself as "Canada's leading institution for advanced training in film, television and new media."
They range in subject matter from dancing slum children to family betrayal, and from Stockholm Syndrome to a van that parks itself between a man and his marriage.
You may even find yourselves identifying with a strange host of characters which include a jaded food photographer and a psychic stripper.
At times hilarious and at times darkly serious, these films will give you a glimpse at some blooming Canadian cinimatic talent.
Each film hovers around 15 minutes in length and will be shown at Northern United Place starting at 7 p.m.
