Job Description
Social Media Manager
The Contractor will provide part-time social media and digital communications support to Western Arctic Moving Pictures (WAMP). Services will be delivered at approximately eight hours per week at $31.25/hour.
The Contractor will undertake the following activities:
Social Media Management
- Maintain and update WAMP social media platforms, including but not limited to FaceBook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkTree.
- Ensure consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all platforms.
Content Development
- Create and publish social media content including posts, graphics, and occasional short-form video.
- Develop and maintain a simple content calendar aligned with marketing priorities.
Community Engagement
- Monitor comments and messages across platforms and respond when appropriate.
- Support positive engagement with audiences, filmmakers, partners, and the broader community.
Performance Monitoring
- Track basic engagement metrics (reach, views, follower growth, engagement).
- Identify opportunities to increase audience engagement and visibility.
Reporting
- Provide brief updates to WAMP staff on social media activities as requested.
Collaboration and Administration
- Work collaboratively with the WAMP staff, contractors, and volunteers to support coordinated communications efforts.
- Seek guidance from WAMP as needed to complete assigned duties.
- Refrain from incurring expenses on behalf of WAMP without prior approval from the Executive Director.
The Contractor may also perform other reasonable communications-related duties as requested by the Executive Director, provided they fall within the general scope of this agreement.
