Mike pitched a short film (10-15minutes) documenting the creation and race day of the inaugural Somba K'e Backyard Ultra. A backyard ultra consists of running a 6.7km loop, every hour, on the hour, until only one person is left standing. Long has been the desire for more competitive adventure races in Yellowknife, and this film will showcase the unique landscapes of Yellowknife, the personal challenges and motivations of participants and the logistical challenges in hosting a 24hour event in the city.
